Vibration Sensors don’t reconnect automatically after power outage

Currently have the Aqara Hub M3. Unfortunately after every power outage the Vibration Sensors show offline and they don’t reconnect on their own. I have to get back home and press the button to get online again.

Is there any solution for this?

Hello, welcome to the forum. Since the vibration sensor sends a signal about its state in two cases. 1-vibration. 2-control signal “I’m here”, sending period ~1 hour. after the M3 is restored, theoretically, you need to move the sensor so that it sends a signal. I recommend that you put a mini ups (5 volts) on the M3 gateway, this problem will disappear.

The sensors don’t reconnect even by movement or vibration. They only reconnect if you press the button. This is a serious issue if you are away from home.

Contact the support service. It shouldn’t be like this. And I still recommend installing a UPS, you’re using the system for security, right?

Hi there, as this issue has already been resolved with our support team via email, we’ll be closing this topic on the forum as well. If you have any further questions or run into any other issues, please feel free to reply directly to our support email. Thanks for your support and understanding!

It is not resolved yet by your support team. Why do you rush to close the post?

@Vakispr You seem to be experiencing an issue where the support team hasn’t resolved your problem yet and the post was closed. You can contact customer support for assistance. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile> Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:

This will be more efficient. If you do not have an Aqara Home account, “Please click here” to create a ticket.

Sounds annoying definitely. Normally the sensor should re connect to itself so I’m afraid that sounds like a firmware or signal issue. Perhaps move the sensor slightly nearer the M3 or plug in a powered Aqara device near it.

The M3 hub has the latest firmware and for the Vibration Sensors there are no new firmware updates. The latest firmware I have on the Vibration Sensors is 0.0.0_0008

Batteries are new and replaced a week ago.

The hub is literally just next to the sensors without interference.

Hello. Do you have other Aqara smart devices that have phase and zero?

Only the Vibration Sensors don’t seem to reconnect. I don’t know if this is only happening to me

I am interested in how the Zigbee channel of the vibration sensor and the gateway is created. Is there a Zigbee signal repeater between them?

No they are directly paired and connected to the M3 Hub.
Every time after power outage they just show offline. The only way to get them back on is to go home and press the button to connect back to the hub and then show online again in the app

You need to contact support.
They can analyze the problem remotely.
By the way, have you tried restarting the M3 gateway remotely, maybe that will help bind the sensor?

Welcome to the forum.

Last time that happened to me with a water sensor, I changed the battery and the problem never happened again.

Hi, @Marc3k. The batteries are new.
