Voice Mate H1 cannot connect to the Matter controller

It was very difficult to connect my Voice Mate to the hub. After many retries it is finally connected and voice commands work. But I still fail to connect it to the Aqara M3 Matter controller. Anyone with the same experience? How did you manage to connect?

@george_simeonov I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with connecting your Voice Mate to the Aqara M3 Matter controller. Based on the information available, here are a few steps you might consider:

  1. Ensure Compatibility: First, confirm that your Voice Mate is compatible with the Matter protocol. The Aqara M3 supports adding both Aqara and third-party Matter devices, including bridges, lights, thermostats, outlets, switches, buttons, and various sensors. Make sure your device falls into these categories.

  2. Check Network Configurations: Ensure that your router supports IPv6 as it is necessary for adding Matter devices. If IPv6 is supported, try toggling it off and then back on again to refresh the settings.

  3. Update Firmware and Software: Make sure both your Aqara hub and the Aqara Home app are updated to the latest versions. This can resolve compatibility issues and improve connectivity.

  4. Connection Process: Open the Aqara Home app, navigate to the “Home” page, and click the “+” icon in the top right corner. Choose “Add Device,” and select “Matter Device” from the quick access options. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to fellow users in the community for their insights or contacting Aqara’s customer support for more detailed assistance.

If you’re still having trouble, here are some troubleshooting tips: Make sure your Aqara Home app is updated to the latest version, and upgrade the M3 Hub’s firmware to the newest release .
