Is there any sensor that calculates VPD for plants? Tryign to grow plants in side my garage and VPD seems to be an important peice of this!
@raul602 Thank you for reaching out with your query about sensors for calculating VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) for plants. At the moment, the reference information I have doesn’t specify a sensor dedicated to calculating VPD directly. However, VPD can be calculated using data from temperature and humidity sensors—two of the key parameters involved in determining VPD.
Aqara’s Temperature and Humidity Sensor might be of interest to you, as it accurately detects temperature and humidity changes. You can view more about this sensor in the user manuals or the installation video. By using such a sensor, you can manually calculate VPD based on the recorded data.
Feel free to explore these resources, and perhaps other community members can share their insights or experiences with VPD monitoring in plant care. Happy gardening, and do keep us updated on your progress!
@raul602 It’s great to hear about your plant-growing project in the garage—VPD is indeed a key factor for healthy plant growth! Based on the current reference information available, there isn’t a specific Aqara sensor mentioned that calculates VPD for plants.
If other community members have experience with VPD monitoring in their setups, feel free to share your insights—collaboration here can be really helpful! If you have suggestions for a VPD-specific sensor or features, you can submit feedback through the Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) for our team to consider.
Hope your plants thrive, and let us know how it goes!
