@AqaraBot Does the W100 support control of air conditioners via the M200 hub?

@janeczku Yes, the Aqara Climate Sensor W100 can support controlling air conditioners via the M200 hub. The Aqara Hub M200 features Matter-compatible AC Control, allowing IR-based Air Conditioners to be integrated into Matter ecosystems and upgraded with thermostat-like intelligence when paired with Aqara Climate Sensors like the W100 — bringing smart automation to traditional appliances. Additionally, it’s noted that if the AC Mode of a hub (such as M3) is matched with the corresponding AC, W100 also supports linking for control, which further indicates the compatibility logic between W100 and hub-based AC control.

I have a m200 with w100 and on w100 i don’t see a AC unit temperatures or mode

@mateusz_kowalski7 It sounds like you’re having trouble seeing the AC unit’s temperature and mode on your W100 when paired with the M200 hub. Let’s troubleshoot this step by step!

First, ensure the W100 is properly connected to your AC via the M200 hub. To connect the W100 to a thermostat (or AC in this case), go to the Aqara Home app > W100 device > Setting page > Connect Thermostat, then bind the relevant AC device. If this binding step wasn’t completed, the W100 might not recognize the AC, leading to missing data.

Additionally, the W100 syncs data with the connected AC/thermostat once every 30 minutes to save energy. If you just set up the connection, there might be a delay. Try pressing any button on the W100—this triggers an immediate sync.

There was a bug in the W100 software that made it not see the thermostats. Check if you have any updates (Aqara doesn’t automatically update the devices). Then wait a bit until the app refreshes and you should see the thermostat.

As an alternative, if you don’t bind any thermostat to the W100, you can configure automations for each button. So you will kinda control the AC unit, but you will not see its temperature on the W100. But you will get 3 programmable buttons with single, double and long press actions.
