W200 thinks it’s 83F but it really is 76F. So I had to manually turn it off. Also it was online but now offline. I think I got a Lemmon.
If this were a product purchased normally, I’d immediately exchange it for the same item. Is that option available? I consider it a fatal that thermostat can’t accurately measure the ambient temperature. I just installed it but had to uninstall it and put back previous thermostat.

Hi there, sorry for your bad experience- unfortunately can’t help - but it’s not the U200 in your case - it’s the W200
Maybe you can correct the headline
BTW there are lots of effective which could affect the temperature- mounted on the wall , holding in your hand …. But is there not an option in the settings to correct the temperature to the real room temperature?!
Hello, look in the settings, maybe there is a “temperature compensation” section. I don’t have this thermostat, but I recommend it by analogy with the W600.
I’m sorry I couldn’t respond at all while I was bedridden with a cold. W200 couldn’t measure the room temperature correctly, and the air conditioner kept turning on even though it wasn’t hot. So I immediately removed the W200 and reinstalled the Meross Thermostat I used before. However, something must have happened during the process, a short occurred in the HVAC cable, rendering the HVAC system unusable. Yesterday, an electrician came and replaced the fuse, restoring power to the HVAC cable. However, the Merross thermostat stopped working due to the short circuit. I’m now using my old Nest from six years ago.
Before installing the Nest, the electrician tried the W200, but it still wasn’t measuring the temperature correctly. He tried to sell current version of Nest Thermostat but I wanted to see what Aqara is going to do with faulty W200. so I did not purchased the new thermostat.
Because of Short Circuit, I ended up having to call an electrician for repairs, which was an unexpected expense and also that killed my Merross Thermostat. But I still want to replace the W200. What kind of remedy is available? According to the electrician, the support for the Nest for earlier generations has needed or will end soon, and all I need is one reliable Thermostat. Would W200 be the one? I’m hoping so? I wish Short Circuit did not kill my Merross, but apparently that’s what happened.
I was very excited about adding another Aqara products in my ecosystem.
What is the policy if there is an issue with a product provided as part of a special program like this one? Return? Refund? Or exchange or repair? Please advise on the next steps.
I removed the thermostat because it kept trying to lower the temperature when it wasn’t turned off. Can’t it be replaced with one that functions properly? If it were a regular purchase, I could return it, get a refund, or exchange it, but is there nothing I can do since it was a special price?
You’re an early bird user, right? I’ll have our sales team follow up on this. If you’re in the Slack group, you should be able to see that many users are already quite accurate and running well.
Lowering the temperature automatically? Did you add it to Apple Home and turn on adaptive temperature? It will automatically adjust based on your home situation.
XianTangHE, the only part that made sense to me was the part about the Sales Team contacting me. What connection is there between the W200 not measuring room temperature correctly and me joining Slack? Does joining Slack magically make the W200 measure room temperature correctly? Is the fact that it’s “Accurate” and not “Running well” due to a problem with how I’m using it? Or are you saying other users with the same issue as mine were able to troubleshoot via Slack? The W200 I received measured a 76F room temperature as 83F, so it kept blowing cold air even though it was already sufficiently cool, trying to lower the temperature. A thermostat failing to measure temperature correctly is critical. Am I wrong? Would you keep wearing glasses with the wrong prescription? Would you buy a gasoline car without an engine? What is the W100?
Whatever it is, XianTangHE, are you someone who can help me, or are you trying to tell me I am misunderstanding something? What is your intention?
Hello, Ken, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. However, the W200 does support temperature compensation. You can try the following steps:
Aqara APP → Settings → Threshold Settings → Temperature Calibration — you can adjust the relevant settings here.
I don’t understand why I can’t see your message about Adaptive Temperature here, but I didn’t even know there was such a thing as Adaptive Temperature. Here’s what I did: I took the W200 out of the box, mounted it on the wall, connected it to WiFi, added it to the Aqara Home App, set the temperature, took a photo with something to measure the exact temperature since it was too cold and uploaded it to the Forum, turned the mode off(because it was too cold), went to sleep for the time being, woke up to find the WiFi connection had dropped, thought it was defective, and removed it… That’s all. The order might be a bit off, but I didn’t do anything else. I removed it before even checking Clean Energy or the Adaptive Adjustment feature. Now the W200 is back in its box.
and I am communicating with Simone with Support Team via email.
I’m still undecided about reinstalling the W200. Simon seems eager to troubleshoot it, but considering how much time I’d have to spend with him on it—meaning how long the HVAC would be out of commission—I can’t find a reason to go through the trouble of reinstalling the W200, which had nothing but problems on the first day, when the thermostat I’m using now is working fine.
