Right now the minimum compressor working temperature you can set on the thermostat is 20 degrees and the aux heat outdoor temperature is 50 degrees. My heat pump unit is ok to run to -10 degrees outside, and I definitely don’t want the aux heat to be able to come on when it’s 50 degrees.
I have returned the W200 and gone back to my ecobee for now because the current settings would make the aux heat run too much and increase my power bill. I’m hoping Aqara will update the settings to allow a much lower compressor outdoor temperature setting and lower aux heat outdoor temp setting.
I’m aware of the current work around of changing the aux heat run with heat pump setting to off, but I would rather just continue using my ecobee until there are lower temperature options for these 2 settings.
