W500 not working in Aqara app

Hello everyone,

Recently updated to W500 floor heating. Everything was okay with installation of hardware and connecting to the camera hub G3 (hub in my case), so I’m using ZigBee protocol.

Then the weird things started to happen. When pressing on device in app, it opens set scenes. After pressing save and continue, it does not save any. Shows message, that some other configuration is detected. Nothing changes if I press YES or NO.

Most annoying thing is that I must do set scenes procedure every time I click on device. I cannot control thermostat to change temperature, turn on/off etc - most basic functions for smart home. At the moment best to control it from panel (as old trusty thermostat)

Smart schedules, is not something that works for me at all. I can live without it, until Aqara comes up with some stable version.

Why I purchased this unit is actually built in humidity sensor + temp sensor. As my Aqara TVOC was broken again (do not ever let it run out of battery!) I decided to buy W500 fro bathroom and use my temperature humidity sensor from bathroom, in living room (I have 2pcs E1 for radiators). It is not possible to use W500 humidity sensor in automatizations, only temperature. Humidity reading from W500 is irrelevant in scope of home automatization. My bad on background check, but it would be good option to have in future.

@edgars_sakne Hey there! I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your Aqara W500 floor heating thermostat. It sounds like you’re experiencing some issues with the app not saving your settings and not being able to control the device’s basic functions.

I’m not sure if there’s a specific solution to your problem in the reference information, but I encourage you to collaborate with the community to see if anyone else has had similar issues and found a solution. If you have any suggestions or recommendations for improvement, you can submit them through manual customer service feedback.

In the meantime, you might try checking if the hub’s firmware version is up to date, as this can sometimes resolve connectivity and functionality issues. You can also try resetting the device and re-pairing it with the hub to see if that helps.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you’re able to find a solution or if you have any other questions.

Hallo! I have exactly the same problem. Cannot add something to schedules, only manual operation. W500 connected to Camera Hub G3 via zigbee.

Hi, support fixed this problem for me today. Problem for me was current G3 firmware version. I guess this is something they have not released yet (everything was up to date). They pushed it forward for me.

Check this screenshot (version that is working for me), if it is different, ask support for help.
