W600 external sensor does not control valve – firmware issue

Hello Aqara Support,
I am reporting a firmware issue with the Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 (WT-A03E).
Device details:
Model: W600 (WT-A03E), Zigbee
Firmware: 0.0.0_2848 (stack 7216)
External room sensor: Aqara W100
Controller: Home Assistant with Zigbee2MQTT 2.14.1
Problem: When the temperature source is set to “external”, the W600 accepts and displays the external temperature, but the valve control still appears to follow the internal sensor.
Test performed:
Setpoint: 25 °C
Temperature source: external
External temperature: 28 °C, re-sent every 2 minutes for 40 minutes
Internal sensor: approximately 21 °C
Expected:
The valve should close because the external room temperature is 3 °C above the setpoint.
Actual result:
The valve continued opening, increasing from approximately 35% → 53% → 74%, with changes roughly every 15 minutes, apparently following the internal sensor.
The temperature source remained set to “external” throughout the entire test.
For comparison, my Aqara E1 thermostats in the same setup react correctly to the external temperature.
Workaround:
I can set the W600 to use the internal sensor and apply a temperature calibration/offset from Home Assistant so that it matches the W100. However, the calibration is limited to ±5 °C and 0.5 °C steps, which may not be sufficient in all situations, especially when the radiator is hot.
Other users appear to report similar behaviour, including when using an Aqara Hub and the Aqara Home app:
https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee-herdsman-converters/issues/10812
I currently have three W600 thermostats and planned to replace my Aqara E1 thermostats with the W600 while using Aqara W100 sensors for room temperature control.
Since the W600 is advertised as supporting an external sensor such as the W100, this appears to be a firmware issue.
Could you please tell me:
Is a firmware fix for external-sensor valve control planned?
If so, is there an estimated timeframe?
Is a beta firmware with this fix available for testing?
I would be happy to test beta firmware and provide logs or additional test results if needed.
