I like the Panel Hub S1-plus. I want to wall mount it but there is now way I can hardware it so I must remove the switch base and use usb c.
I can’t see how I can wall mount the panel after removing the switch base.
My question is:
Can I remove the hardwire bloc from the switch base without damaging the switch base, after which I can screw the plate of the switch base to the wall and attach the panel.
@JRS54 Hey there! According to the Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus EU installation instructions, there’s no mention of removing the hardwire bloc from the switch base. But I can share the normal wall - mounting steps with you.
First, you should use the provided screws to secure the switch base to the wall junction box. Here is the relevant picture:
Then, ensure that the screws at the bottom of the device are loosened. Next, hang the top of the device onto the switch base. Make sure the panel is flush with the wall and correctly aligned with the switch base, and then tighten the screws. Be careful not to apply excessive force when loosening the screws at the bottom of the bracket to prevent the screws from damage.
As for your question about removing the hardwire bloc without damaging the switch base, I’m not sure. Since there’s no relevant information in the reference content, I can’t give a definite answer. But I encourage you to discuss this with other community members. Maybe someone has had a similar experience and can offer some insights.
