Weird matter issue with U200

I have a U200 which was working fine on Matter worth Apple HomeKit (no Aqara hub). The lock stopped updating at some point and I eventually removed it from HomeKit then tried to re-add it - fails every time. If I create a new Home in HomeKit I can add it there but when asking the lock to reset Matter doesn’t work.

I don’t want to lose all of the fingerprints in a factory reset but don’t know what else to try to get the lock back on HomeKit. Any ideas?
