Zigbee and Matter :smiley: Zigbee for direct device-hub communication, Matter for ecosystem integration. That’s actually my current setup.

Just be careful on terms as you’re comparing an application layer and a transport. I’m guessing you mean Thread. Only clarifying because it impacts how people understand and buy products :slight_smile:

I use a little of both. Zigbee is solid, especially in the Aqara ecosystem.

Short-term Zigbee has a more extensive “product offering” as many suppliers have built portfolios over the past years. Long-term I believe Matter will be #1

Difficult to say, i used Apple Home. With the integration of Aqara in Apple Home Everything was fine. With Matter I have so much trouble in combination with Apple Home. Most of the devises are showing up double…… that’s annoying.
In general I like zigbee more, because of not saturating my WiFi network…

So I prefer Zigbee definitely in the Aqara system!
Just to integrate other devices I use Matter

I like to have the full range of features- and you can get it by zigbee

It really does matter. It’s more reliable over time and helps prevent disconnections from smart home systems.
