Which hub to buy

I currently have the u200 and a g410 doorbell. I was looking to buy an fp2, fp300 a motion sensor or 2 and a few door sensors. Any idea which hub I should get? Thanks for any ideas

The G410 is a hub that can be used to connect Zigbee, Matter over WiFi, and Matter over Thread devices and sensors. So you can use it to connect the FP300 via Matter over Thread or Zigbee. And the Aqara door sensors via Zigbee as well. The FP2 only requires Wi-Fi; a hub is only necessary for automation.

If you need an additional hub. Ultimately, your choice will depend on your needs, how many sensors you want to connect and the size of your home.

Hello, for me the “classic of the genre” is the M3 gateway.
This is a fully functional device for a smart home with a minimal degree of failure. You will say why not a gateway camera or “whistle” (E1, M100), I will answer “professional level” always remains at the highest level of quality. In this gateway they do not seek a compromise of video, minimalism…, this is a “pure” gateway and that’s it.

I know you are asking about hubs, and I get why you would potentially differentiate between an FP2 and an FP300, but why go motion sensor? Especially with the price of lower end presence sensors.

If your bank balance is ok I would add an M3

The reason is because of it’s power and flexability the M3 has over all other hubs including its ability to record logs nad maintain automation backup.

For me the main reason is the M100 & M200 both have a terrible latency when switching on lights, there is like a 300-400 millisecond delay which is very off - putting, I spoke to Aqara support on this and although they confirmed the latency no sufficient answer as to why was given.

Thanks for your advice I think I’ll get the M3.

Thanks for the table definitely helped me decide.

Just for bathrooms why pay double for a place I spend hardly any time in.

Motion detectors and bathrooms – that reminds me of this post:
