I just wanted to share my thoughts after watching an amazing video about Aqara’s G4 Smart Video Doorbell, and I think it’s an absolute game-changer for anyone who loves smart home tech.
This doorbell has everything you could ask for: seamless integration with HomeKit, easy setup, and the added bonus of a wireless chime that can be placed anywhere in your home! You get video clip recordings, including face detection, custom event notifications, and everything is securely stored in iCloud.
My Aqara Video Doorbell G4 is only about 1 1/2 years old. It lost connection to my network so I tried reconnecting it. This happened before and I was able to reconnect it. But this time, anything I did to reconnect it did not work. I followed all instructions provided by tech support, no luck. I tried resetting both chime repeater and video doorbell, no luck. Then later, I lost sound from my chime repeater. So when I press the doorbell button, there is no more sound from the chime repeater. Aqara tech support told me that since my unit is more than 1 year old, they cannot replace it. 1 1/2 years old, really? I am so disappointed with the support I was given. Hopefully no one here experiences the same issue with their unit. If you have the same issue, pray that it is within 1 year.
