Why My Matter Devices Won't Show Up in Home Assistant? SOS!

Yo guys, I’m hitting a wall here with my new Matter setup. Just got some sweet Matter-certified smart plugs, but they straight up refuse to appear in my Home Assistant. Like, they show up fine in the manufacturer’s app and even in Apple Home, but HA acts like they don’t exist.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Reset both the devices and my HA Yellow
  • Made sure my Thread border router is properly configured
  • Checked for firmware updates everywhere
  • Sacrificed my morning coffee to the smart home gods (didn’t work)

Anyone else run into this? I’m starting to think there’s some secret handshake between Matter and HA that I’m missing. Running HA OS 2023.12.1 if that helps.

Bonus question: Is there a way to force HA to rediscover Matter devices without nuking my whole setup? Really don’t wanna start from scratch again…
