Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue with their security cameras. I’ve set up a few cameras around my property, and while they work perfectly for detecting humans and pets, I’ve noticed that wild animals like deer, skunks, and even bobcats aren’t triggering them. This is a bit frustrating because that’s exactly why I wanted these cameras in the first place—to monitor wildlife activity!
I’ve tried adjusting the settings, ensuring the cameras are within range, and even testing with objects to see if they trigger the motion sensors. Everything else works fine, but for some reason, wild animals seem to slip through undetected. I’m using Cam Plus with a wired base station and an iPhone for notifications, so I’m wondering if there’s something specific I need to tweak in the settings or if there’s a known issue with wildlife detection.
If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I’d really appreciate it! Maybe there’s a setting I’m missing or a different approach to ensure these cameras capture the wildlife I’m hoping to monitor. Thanks in advance for your help!
