Winter Camera Tips and Govee Product Update

Hi everyone! I wanted to share some tips and experiences regarding my smart home setup, especially focusing on winter challenges and recent product updates.

First, I’ve been using my Blink outdoor cameras for a while now, and I’ve noticed they tend to get foggy or frozen during cold nights. I’ve tried a few solutions, like using a plastic cover from Amazon, but they didn’t work perfectly. I’ve heard some users suggest using a heated camera cover or placing the camera in a slightly warmer spot. If anyone has other tips, I’d love to hear them!

On a more positive note, I’ve been really impressed with Govee’s latest updates. Their outdoor laser projector lights are a fantastic addition to my backyard setup. They’re easy to control via the app and have a wide coverage area. Plus, the RGBIC color modes add a nice touch for different occasions. I’d definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking to enhance your outdoor lighting.

Another thing I wanted to mention is my experience with Shelly devices. I’ve had some issues with stability, especially with the Shelly 2.5 and PLUS 2PM models. However, after some troubleshooting and firmware updates, they’ve been working much better. It’s a bit frustrating when things don’t work out of the box, but the community support has been really helpful.

Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of building and improving my smart home. It’s great to see how these devices can make everyday life more convenient and enjoyable. If anyone has questions or experiences to share, feel free to reach out!

Cheers,
