I am using the doorbell G4 on batteries for a couple of years already and I’m tired of the life duration even though I’m using rechargeable ones. So I found a power supply I used for the Ring doorbell, which has an output of +24.0V DC 0.5A. When connected the doorbell led flashes on blue and never stops so it doesn’t work. I tried with another power supply with same characteristics and I got the exact same output.
If I use batteries back it does that flash for a couple of times and then stops, so I can start using it.
Any ideas?
Are you sure it was only flashing blue and not alternating between red and blue?
Blue suggests it’s connecting to Wi-Fi or in pairing mode.
Yes. It’s just blue. Keeps flashing for ever 
When it’s doing that, what happens if you go into the app?
nothing, when I try to connect, it returns an error, cannot connect to the device. It’s like it’s not booted properly, even if I try to restart it…
