Hey ! Share my Aqara journey from a basic apartment to what my friends now call a “smart cave”.
I started small—with a hub and a few door/window sensors. Fast forward six months, and now everything from my hallway lights to AC to curtains runs through Aqara and HomeKit. No rewiring, no stress. Just stick, sync, and boom—automations galore.
My favorite setup? Motion sensor triggers bathroom lights at night, but only at 20% brightness so no blinding wake-ups. Also got my living room lights dimming automatically for Netflix sessions. And yes, those curtain motors are way more satisfying than I expected.
All wireless, battery-powered, and surprisingly reliable. I didn’t think I’d go this deep but here I am. Anyone else go all-in like this? Would love to see your setups, and happy to swap ideas or help if anyone’s on the fence about going all smart with Aqara.
