Wiser Configuration Challenge and Seeking Solutions

Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to the community for some guidance on a Wiser configuration issue I’ve been struggling with. I’ve been using Wiser for a while now, and it’s been working smoothly until recently when I decided to expand my system.

Current Setup

I have three zones configured on my Wiser system:

  • Channel 1: Regular radiator central heating
  • Channel 2: Hot water
  • Channel 3: Single zone wet underfloor heating in the ‘Garden Room’

This setup has been reliable for over a year. However, I’m now in the process of renovating both bathrooms and installing electric underfloor heating in each room. For this, I’m using the Wiser Electric Heat Switch, floor sensor, and Wiser Room Stat.

The Issue

The problem arises when assigning the bathroom room stat to a heating channel. The room stat seems to trigger the respective heating channel regardless of other heat demand devices. For example, if I assign the bathroom room stat to channel 3, it activates the Garden Room underfloor heating, which isn’t ideal.

In other rooms, the app allows me to re-select the channel and offers “None” as an option, but this isn’t the case for the bathrooms. It seems like a strange inconsistency in the system. I suspect that if there were an option to select “None” during initial configuration or afterward, it might resolve my issue.

What I’d Like to Achieve

My goal is to have the room stat and/or schedule only turn on the associated electric heat switch without being tied to either channel 1 or 3. This would allow me to control the bathroom heating independently without affecting other parts of the house.

Questions for the Community

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Is there a workaround or a feature request I should consider?

I’d greatly appreciate any insights or solutions the community might have. Let’s brainstorm together and see if we can find a way to make this configuration work seamlessly. Thanks in advance for your help!
