Hello!
I’m using the **WS-USC03 Smart Wall Switch (With Neutral, Single Rocker) and have noticed that the newer Aqara switches now support button events (single-press, double-press, long-press) via Matter. The WS-USC03 doesn’t expose any events or power data.

Will this switch receive a firmware update that will:

  • Expose button events (single, double, long-press) to Matter.
  • Report real-time power usage to Matter.

If so, can you share an approximate timeline for that update?

The Aqara hub E1, M2, M1S Gen 2, and the Area Camera G3 do support Matter and act as bridges to expose existing Zigbee devices to Matter apps. However, this does not upgrade Zigbee devices to Thread or guarantee the exposure of button events or power data specifically for the WS-USC03.

  1. Aqara switches now only support button events (single-press) via Matter, please stay tuned for double and long press action.
  2. “Power usage” display depends on the Matter platform itself, our native Matter switches already enabled this feature. Platforms like Home Assistant, SmartThings and Homey already support it. But since the switch is integrated into these platforms via Zigbee (over Bridge), it is not supported. Our Thread switches can show power usage in the supported platforms.

Ho okay. So exposed power usage from zigbee device to matter via the hub m3 will never be available?
