Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro: A Great Addition with a Few Hiccups

Hi everyone, I recently installed the Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic addition to my home security setup. The initial setup was straightforward, and the camera worked flawlessly for the first couple of weeks. The night vision is impressive, and the floodlight provides excellent coverage in the evenings.

However, after about two weeks, I started noticing some issues. The audio quality became inconsistent, and during nighttime alerts, the camera would sometimes show unusual color flashes—green, yellow, or even purple. It was a bit unsettling, especially since everything worked perfectly during the day. Additionally, the microphone seemed overly sensitive, making rain sound like something crunching nearby.

The most concerning issue arose when our internet briefly went out. While my indoor Wyze Cam OG automatically resumed after the outage, the Floodlight Pro didn’t. It showed a greyed-out cloud icon, indicating it was offline, even though it was still recording to the SD card. After some troubleshooting, I managed to get it back online, but now the floodlight doesn’t respond to motion—it’s as if it’s turned off.

I’ve attached some screenshots of the color issues and a short clip demonstrating the audio problem. I’m hoping someone here might have encountered similar issues or could offer some troubleshooting steps. I’ve ensured the firmware is up to date, and the app is the latest version, but the problems persist.

Despite these hiccups, I genuinely appreciate the Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro’s features and performance under normal circumstances. I’m eager to resolve these issues and get it working seamlessly again. Thanks in advance for any advice or insights!
