Hey everyone, I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is experiencing issues with their Wyze Cam Outdoor units. I purchased one of these cameras recently, and while I love the image quality and the additional features it offers, I’m running into some pretty significant connectivity problems. The wireless range seems extremely limited—only about 20 feet from the base station. This is frustrating because other battery-operated cameras I’ve used in the past, like my old Blink XT, have had much better range under the same conditions. I’m even using a Cisco router with high-speed internet, so I don’t think it’s a network issue.
I’ve tried resetting the camera, moving it to different locations, and ensuring the base station has a strong connection. Unfortunately, nothing seems to improve the range. It’s really disappointing because the camera itself is excellent, but the connectivity issues are making it nearly unusable for my needs.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, did you find a solution or workaround? I’m really hoping to get this working properly without having to return it for a refund. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!
