The latest firmware update for the Wyze Cam Pan v3 seems to address some of the issues I’ve encountered, particularly with false alerts and event detection.
I’ve noticed that the new reminder feature in the Wyze app is a thoughtful addition. It prompts me to disarm Cam Protect when the system detects too many false alerts in a short period. This could be especially useful for busy households or those with pets who often trigger the camera unintentionally.
One feature I’m particularly looking forward to testing is the improved event detection. I’ve had instances where the camera missed legitimate events, like my gardener arriving, while triggering multiple times on shadows. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m hopeful the updates will make the detection more accurate and reliable.
Another thing I appreciate is the ability to manually adjust the camera’s viewing angle. I often find myself wanting the camera to focus on a specific area, and having control over this without automated panning would be a huge plus.
