Wyze Cam V2 Experience and Troubleshooting Tips

I recently upgraded to the Wyze Cam V2 and wanted to share my experience and some troubleshooting tips that might help others. The camera itself is a great upgrade from the previous model, with improved video quality and better motion detection. However, I encountered a few issues that I thought I’d document here.

First, I noticed that the motion sensor on my Wyze Cam V2 was giving false alerts every 13 seconds. This was quite annoying and made the camera less reliable for monitoring. After doing some research, I found that others had experienced similar issues. Deleting and re-adding the sensor didn’t solve the problem, nor did moving it to different locations. I submitted logs to Wyze, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any updates yet. If anyone has found a solution to this, I’d love to hear about it!

Another thing I wanted to mention is about the delivery address for the Wyze Robot Vacuum Backer Reward. Despite updating my address in the system back in November, the order still shows the old, incorrect address. Wyze Support assured me that the address would be updated automatically, but it hasn’t happened yet. I’ve reached out to them again, but I’m starting to lose patience. If anyone else is facing the same issue, please check your delivery address and let me know if you’ve had any success.

On a more positive note, I’ve been impressed with the Wyze Cam V2’s ability to integrate with other smart home devices. For example, I’ve set up the camera to trigger my Wyze Plug when motion is detected. This setup works seamlessly without needing a bridge, which is a huge plus. It’s a great way to automate lighting or appliances based on motion.

Lastly, I wanted to thank the community for all the helpful tips and troubleshooting advice. Forums like this are invaluable for solving issues and learning new tricks. If anyone has questions about integrating Wyze devices or troubleshooting motion sensors, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help!

Overall, the Wyze Cam V2 is a fantastic device with some minor hiccups. With the right troubleshooting and community support, it’s definitely worth considering for your smart home setup.
