Wyze Camera Connectivity Tips After Update

Hello fellow Wyze users! I wanted to share my experience and some tips regarding the recent update affecting camera connectivity. After the update, my Wyze V2 cameras stopped automatically reconnecting to my Wi-Fi, which was quite inconvenient. I restarted my router, and while other devices connected without issue, my cameras remained offline. They’re installed in less accessible spots, making it a hassle to power cycle them each time.I reached out to Wyze support, and they mentioned that the update might have caused temporary issues. In the meantime, I found a workaround: manually reconnecting the cameras via the Wyze app. Here’s how I did it:1. Check the Camera Status: Open the Wyze app and navigate to the camera section. If it shows offline, tap on it to see the connection status.2. Forget the Network: Under the camera settings, there’s an option to forget the current network. This forces the camera to reconnect.3. Reconnect: After forgetting the network, the camera will prompt for Wi-Fi details again. Enter your network name and password.4. Test Connectivity: Once reconnected, check if the camera streams properly. This process was a bit time-consuming, but it resolved the issue temporarily. I hope Wyze addresses this in a future update to prevent manual intervention. For anyone else facing similar issues, I recommend keeping the Wyze app updated and checking for firmware updates regularly. Also, ensure your router’s firmware is up to date, as outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. If you have any additional tips or solutions, please share them here! It’s great to hear from others and learn different approaches to resolving such issues.Happy smart home tinkering! :rocket:
