Wyze Camera Troubleshooting and Shared Account Insights

I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and they’ve been a great addition to my home security setup. I currently have over 40 Wyze devices, including several V3s, V2s, and pan cams. I’ve also integrated them with my Android devices, all running the latest app versions, and even my wife’s iPhone, which shares access to most of my devices. It’s been a seamless experience—until recently, that is.

A few days ago, I installed a new Wyze car camera, and shortly after, I noticed something odd. All my camera groups and individual cameras were missing from my account. The events tab showed activity, but the devices were labeled as ‘Unknown Device.’ What’s puzzling is that my wife’s shared account still had full visibility of all the cameras, including the new V2 car camera. This discrepancy is quite concerning, especially since I rely heavily on these cameras for monitoring my home and driveway.

I’ve tried troubleshooting by resetting the cameras and checking network connections, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. It’s frustrating because I don’t want to go through the tedious process of reinstalling and configuring each camera, especially the ones mounted on the roof. The fact that my wife’s shared account works perfectly makes me wonder if there’s a specific setting or bug in the Wyze app that’s causing this issue for primary accounts.

I’m also curious about how the shared account functionality works. Why can my wife access the cameras while I can’t? Is there a specific feature or setting that needs to be adjusted to ensure both primary and shared accounts have consistent access? I’d appreciate any insights or solutions from the community to resolve this without having to reinstall all my cameras.

In the meantime, I’m relying on my wife’s iPhone to monitor the cameras, which isn’t ideal but works as a temporary workaround. I’m hopeful that Wyze will address this issue soon, and I’m eager to hear from others who might have encountered similar problems or found a fix.
