I recently got my hands on a Wyze Floodlight Cam v3, and I must say, the physical installation was a breeze! Mounting it on the wall was straightforward, and the floodlights worked perfectly right out of the box. However, setting up the camera proved to be a bit of a challenge.
After installing the Wyze app, I pressed the setup button on the camera as instructed. Unfortunately, instead of seeing the ‘ready to connect’ prompt, the camera just stayed on a solid red light. I tried turning it off and on again, holding the setup button for over 10 seconds, and even flipping the breaker to reset it. Nothing seemed to work!
I was really hoping this wouldn’t be my first bad experience with a new device, but I guess everyone has their off days. After some quick research, I found that sometimes the camera needs a bit more time to fully reset. I gave it another shot the next day, and voilà! It connected without any issues.
Now, I’m absolutely thrilled with how it’s performing. The night vision is fantastic, and the motion detection is spot on. It’s definitely a great addition to my home security setup. If you’re thinking about getting one, don’t let a few initial hiccups discourage you—this camera is worth the effort!
