Wyze Headphone Troubleshooting and Tips

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with my Wyze noise-canceling headphones. It’s been quite the journey! A few weeks ago, I noticed that my headphones weren’t turning on after a firmware update. I charged them, and the charging light came on, but when I took them out of the charger, they just wouldn’t power on. I was really worried I might have bricked them!

I started by checking the obvious things—battery connections, charging port cleanliness, and even considering whether the cold weather might have affected them during my commute. After some research, I found that others had similar issues after firmware updates. It seems like a glitch rather than a hardware failure. I tried resetting the headphones by holding down the power button for 10 seconds, and voilà—they powered back on!

Since then, I’ve been extra careful with firmware updates. I always make sure to charge the headphones to at least 50% before updating and keep an eye on the temperature to avoid any cold-related issues. It’s also a good idea to back up any custom settings you might have, just in case.

If anyone else is having trouble with their Wyze headphones, here are a few tips:

  • Check the charging port: Sometimes dust or debris can interfere with charging.
  • Reset the device: Holding the power button for 10 seconds can often resolve software issues.
  • Update firmware carefully: Make sure the device is well-charged before updating.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures: Keep your headphones away from extreme heat or cold.

I’m really happy my headphones are working again. It’s a relief to have my trusted companion back for long commutes and late-night listens. If anyone has additional tips or experiences, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the troubleshooting spirit alive!
