Hey everyone, I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now and they’ve been a great addition to my home security setup. However, I’ve recently encountered a peculiar issue with my Wyze Pan Cam that I wanted to share and see if anyone else has experienced something similar.
A few days ago, I noticed that my daughter’s belongings were going missing and reappearing after a day or two. Initially, I thought it was just her forgetting where she placed her things. To investigate, I set up the Pan Cam in her bedroom with continuous recording enabled. Everything seemed normal at first, but then I noticed something strange: the camera started spinning on its own, and there was a 3-minute gap in the recording. This happened exactly when the camera spun, and I didn’t access the camera during that time. I had also disabled motion tracking, so the camera shouldn’t have been spinning due to motion detection.
I uploaded a video showing the issue, and I’m curious if anyone else has faced this problem. It’s a bit concerning because it affects the reliability of the camera’s recordings. Has anyone found a solution or workaround for this? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips!
On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with how Wyze cameras integrate with other smart home devices. For example, I’ve set up my Pan Cam to trigger lights and alarms when motion is detected, which has added an extra layer of security to my home. It’s amazing how these devices can work together to create a seamless smart home experience.
If anyone has advice on troubleshooting the Pan Cam issue or tips for optimizing camera setup, I’d be happy to hear them. Let’s keep the discussion positive and collaborative! ![]()
