Hello Wyze community! I recently installed my Wyze thermostat and ran into a bit of a wiring puzzle. At first, I was a bit confused because the wiring at my furnace didn’t match the setup in the installation guide. But after some research and trial and error, I got it working perfectly! Identify the C-Wire: The most crucial part was finding the C-wire. If your furnace doesn’t have one, you’ll need to create a jumper wire between the C and R terminals on the furnace’s control board. This was a game-changer for me!

Use the Right Adapter: The Wyze thermostat requires a specific C-wire adapter. I ordered one online, and it made the installation much smoother. Without it, the thermostat wouldn’t stay powered up.
