I recently installed the Yale Smart Living lock, and while it’s been a great addition to my home security, I noticed a small issue that I wanted to share and get some feedback on. Whenever I unlock the door or use it, I get a warning message that says, ‘Warning: The lock’s bolt is not fully extended.’ At first, it was a bit concerning, but I checked the latch, and the bolt seems fully extended in its locked position. It doesn’t seem to cause any functional issues, and the message eventually goes away on its own. However, it’s more of an annoyance than anything else. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if there might be a calibration option for these locks. Maybe the lock thinks the bolt should turn back further than it actually does? I’d love to hear if others have experienced this or if there’s a way to adjust the settings to prevent the warning from appearing unnecessarily. On a positive note, the Yale lock has been incredibly reliable and user-friendly. The integration with my smart home system has been seamless, and the app provides clear status updates. It’s also great to have the option to control the lock remotely, which adds an extra layer of convenience and security. If anyone has tips or insights on this calibration issue, I’d be grateful to hear them! It’s always reassuring to know that others are experiencing similar things and that there might be a simple fix out there.
