Hello everyone, I’m reaching out for some guidance on connecting my Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver to openHAB3. I’ve been using openHAB for about two weeks now, and while I’ve successfully integrated my Echo Dot, KNX installation, and LG TV, the Yamaha receiver has been a bit of a puzzle.
I’ve tried connecting directly through the UI and by setting up a things file, but both attempts result in a ‘Connection refused’ error. I’ve double-checked the IP address and confirmed it’s reachable via ping, so the issue doesn’t seem to be with the network itself.
Looking at the logs, it appears the connection is being rejected, which makes me think there might be a firewall or port issue. I’m using openHAB3 RC 3.0.0 on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Java Runtime Raspbian 11.0.9.1.
Has anyone else encountered this issue with Yamaha receivers? Any advice on troubleshooting or configuration settings would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to get this working to fully integrate my home theater system into my smart home setup.
