Recently, I encountered a frustrating issue with my Yeeelight Color 1S bulbs. The brightness levels in the Yeeelight app didn’t match those in HomeKit. After some research, I discovered that others were facing the same problem. However, I found a workaround that has made my experience much better!
Here’s what I did:
- Adjust Colors in the Yeeelight App: I set the color I wanted using the Yeeelight app and ensured the brightness was at its maximum. This step was crucial because it allowed me to bypass the brightness limitations in HomeKit.
- Use HomeKit for Brightness Adjustment: I only used the Home app to adjust the brightness, not the color. This allowed me to maintain the full brightness range without resetting the color cap.
While this solution isn’t perfect, it works for 99% of my needs. I hope Yeeelight addresses this issue in future updates. In the meantime, I’m grateful for the workaround that keeps my home lighting consistent and beautiful.
