Z-Wave Controller Stability Issues After Migration

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered similar issues with their Z-Wave network after migrating from OpenHAB 2.5 to 3.1. I’ve been using Z-Wave for quite some time now, and it’s been a reliable part of my setup. However, since the upgrade, I’ve noticed some concerning behavior with my Z-Wave controller.

The controller seems to be dropping offline after a few hours of smooth operation. The logs show a pattern where the controller goes offline and then comes back online multiple times, which eventually leads to a prolonged offline state. This behavior is quite disruptive, especially since the rest of my system is functioning well.

Here’s a snippet of the logs I’ve been monitoring:

2021-07-31 02:18:03.088 [INFO ] [ab.event.ThingStatusInfoChangedEvent] - Thing ‘zwave:serial_zstick:ce4ad518’ changed from ONLINE to OFFLINE (COMMUNICATION_ERROR): Controller is offline
2021-07-31 02:18:03.092 [INFO ] [ab.event.ThingStatusInfoChangedEvent] - Thing ‘zwave:device:ce4ad518:node50’ changed from ONLINE to OFFLINE (BRIDGE_OFFLINE): Controller is offline

2021-07-31 02:19:05.048 [INFO ] [ab.event.ThingStatusInfoChangedEvent] - Thing ‘zwave:serial_zstick:ce4ad518’ changed from OFFLINE (COMMUNICATION_ERROR): Controller is offline to ONLINE

I’ve tried power cycling the system, which temporarily resolves the issue, but it inevitably returns. I’m curious if others have faced similar challenges post-upgrade and if there are any troubleshooting steps or fixes that have worked for you. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to hearing from the community. Thanks in advance for your help!
