Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the recent update to Home Assistant 0.32 and how it affected my Z-Wave garage door opener. As some of you might know, the garage door barrier class (COVER) items were working perfectly in version 0.31x, but after the update, they no longer seem to be detected.
I’ve been using this setup for quite some time now, and it was working flawlessly. The integration with my Z-Wave hub was seamless, and I could control my garage door right from the Lovelace dashboard. However, after updating to 0.32, the garage door opener simply stopped showing up as a COVER item. I’ve tried restarting the system, checking the Z-Wave network, and even re-pairing the device, but nothing seems to work.
I’m not the only one experiencing this issue, as I’ve seen a few posts in the community forums mentioning the same problem. It’s a bit frustrating because I rely heavily on this integration for my daily routine. I was wondering if anyone else has managed to find a workaround or a solution for this. Maybe there’s a specific configuration or a setting that needs to be adjusted to get it working again.
On a positive note, I’ve noticed that the rest of my Z-Wave devices are functioning perfectly fine, so it seems like this is an isolated issue with the garage door opener. I’m hoping that the Home Assistant team will address this in one of the upcoming updates. In the meantime, I’ll keep experimenting with different configurations and keep you posted if I find a solution.
