I’ve been exploring ways to improve my Z-Wave network reliability, especially with my smart locks. I’ve noticed that while my network is solid, certain devices like my Ultrateq Z-Wave lock experience delays in communication, sometimes taking up to 10 seconds for commands to go through. This inconsistency is puzzling, especially since the lock initially connected directly to the hub with fast and reliable communication.
I’ve tried using dedicated repeaters like Aeotec-7 and Ring V2, but they haven’t made a consistent difference. The Aeotec-7 was only used by one device for a short time before it stopped being utilized, and the Ring V2 had a similar experience. It’s frustrating because the potential for fast communication exists, but it’s not consistently realized.
I’m curious if others have found reliable solutions for maintaining fast and consistent Z-Wave communication, especially with locks. Have you had success with specific repeaters or network configurations? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
