Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my experience with integrating both ZigBee and Thread devices on my Homey Pro setup. I’ve been exploring the capabilities of smart home technology and wanted to see how well Homey Pro handles multiple protocols. Currently, I have 85 ZigBee devices, which include lights, sensors, and switches. Recently, I decided to expand my setup by adding 18 Thread devices, such as Tado X radiator valves and Matter-over-Thread light switches. I’m curious to know if this mix of protocols is manageable or if I’ll run into performance issues. I’ve heard mixed opinions on forums, so I thought I’d document my journey here. I’m planning to use the Homey Pro as my Thread border router instead of the Apple TV, which I’ve been using for testing. I’m wondering if 85 ZigBee devices plus 18 Thread devices will be too much for the Homey Pro to handle smoothly. Any insights or experiences from the community would be greatly appreciated!
