Zigbee Garage Door Remote: Seeking Solutions for Range and Feedback Issues

I’ve been exploring ways to improve my garage door operation with Zigbee technology, but I’m facing some challenges that I hope the community can help with. Poor range is a significant issue for my 433 MHz remotes, and while my Zigbee network offers better coverage, it’s still inconsistent. I’ve tried using alternative antennas, but the problem persists, especially when the car is farther from the house.

Another frustration is the lack of audible feedback when the door opens. I’d love a system where pressing a button sends a signal and provides immediate confirmation once the door responds. Custom development seems like the only option, but I’m concerned about the potential for devices to unpair frequently and the time it takes to reconnect.

I’ve come across Zigbee buttons as a possible solution, but the reliability issues are a deal-breaker for me. Has anyone successfully implemented a similar setup with consistent performance? Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
