Hi everyone, I’m diving into the world of Zigbee and have hit a bit of a snag. I’m using Zigbee2MQTT, which seems to handle the new Install-code security mechanism well. But here’s where I’m stuck: I added an install code for my sensor, and now my light bulb is also joining the network. According to my understanding, shouldn’t only the sensor be able to join after entering its code? Am I missing something here?
I tried following the instructions carefully—entered the sensor’s code, waited for it to join, and then tried adding the light bulb. But it seems like both devices are able to join regardless of which code I entered. Is there a step I’m overlooking? Maybe a setting or configuration that controls this behavior?
I did some research and found that the Install-code is supposed to create a temporary network opening for a specific device. But in my case, it feels like the network is wide open to any device that tries to join. I’d really appreciate any insights or tips on how to ensure only the intended device joins when I enter its code.
Thanks in advance for your help! I’m excited to get this working properly and expand my Zigbee network.
