Zigbee Sensor Connection Issues and ESP32 Camera Automation

I’ve been experimenting with my Zigbee setup lately, and I must say, it’s been quite an adventure! :rocket: I’ve got several sensors from different brands, including Aeotec and Nedis SmartLife. While the Aeotec sensors and POPP radiator valves have been rock-solid, the Nedis sensors have been giving me a bit of a headache. They go offline randomly, even when placed right next to the hub. It’s frustrating because they always come back online on their own after a few minutes to hours. I’ve tried switching Zigbee channels and using different drivers, but nothing seems to make a difference. I wonder if it’s just a matter of the Nedis sensors being less reliable compared to the others. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

On another note, I’ve been working on automating my ESP32-camera setup with Home Assistant. It’s been working well, but occasionally, it stops sending images while still sending sensor data. I’ve been using a restart switch to fix this, but I’d love to automate the restart if the camera stops sending images for a set period. I’m curious if there’s a way to include a sensor in the ESPhome-YAML that tracks the last image timestamp. I’ve scoured the esphome.io docs but haven’t found anything yet. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! :male_detective:

Overall, it’s been a mix of triumphs and trials, but I’m determined to get everything running smoothly. I’d love to hear how others have tackled similar issues or if there are any best practices for optimizing Zigbee connections and camera automation. Let’s keep the learning and sharing going! :star2:
