Zigbee Soil Moisture Sensor Integration Challenges and Solutions

I recently decided to expand my smart garden setup by adding soil moisture sensors. After some research, I came across a few third-party Zigbee soil moisture sensors that were supposedly compatible with my Homey setup. Excited to get started, I ordered three of them, but unfortunately, connecting any of them to my Homey has proven to be quite a challenge. The sensors simply won’t pair or show up in the device list.

I’ve tried everything from resetting the sensors multiple times to ensuring my Zigbee network is stable. I’ve also checked online forums and reached out to the manufacturer for support, but so far, no luck. It’s frustrating because I was really looking forward to automating my watering system based on real-time soil data.

However, I’m not ready to give up just yet! I’ve heard that sometimes using a different Zigbee channel or ensuring the sensors are placed within a certain range of the hub can help. I’m planning to try moving my Homey unit closer to where the sensors are located and see if that makes a difference. If anyone out there has successfully integrated similar sensors or has any troubleshooting tips, I’d be more than grateful to hear them! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out. :seedling::bulb:
