Hello everyone, I’m currently working on setting up my Zmatter board, and I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has encountered similar issues.
First, I must say that the board itself is quite impressive, with its sleek design and promising features. However, the installation process has been a bit of a hurdle for me. I received the board and enclosure, but I noticed that no instructions were included for the enclosure setup. This left me a bit confused about how to proceed.
I decided to give it a try myself. I started by attempting to install the board into the enclosure, but I quickly realized that the placement of the black wires was making it nearly impossible to fit the board properly. It seemed like the wires were in the way no matter how I tried to position the board. To make matters more complicated, the antennae couldn’t be installed once the board was in place. This was quite frustrating, as I had high hopes for this setup.
I tried a different approach by installing the antennae first, but that didn’t solve the problem either. The wires still obstructed the board’s installation, and I couldn’t get everything to fit correctly. I ended up having to remove the board multiple times to adjust the wires, which was time-consuming and a bit discouraging.
I wonder if others have faced similar challenges and if there’s a recommended method or workaround for this issue. Any advice or tips from the community would be greatly appreciated!
On a positive note, once I managed to get the board installed, it performed exceptionally well. The functionality is exactly what I was looking for, and it’s been a great addition to my smart home setup. I’m just hoping to find a more streamlined way to handle the installation process in the future.
Thanks in advance for your help and insights!
