Zones from Apple Home

Have you found a way to benefit from the zones around apple home? I have many sensors on 2 levels in my home and I would like to manage these two zones. Thanks

@christophe_amalric Managing zones in Apple Home with your sensors can certainly enhance your smart home experience. With the Aqara Presence Sensor FP2, you can create and manage up to 30 detection zones, which can be particularly useful for different levels in your home. Here are some steps on how you can utilize these zones effectively:

  1. Zone Detection and Management: The FP2 supports up to 30 detection zones. You can select and customize these zones using the Aqara app. This includes editing names, choosing colors, and selecting the type for each zone, which optimizes monitoring for better recognition.

  2. Apple Home Integration: When you add your FP2 to Apple Home, the zones sync automatically. This means that each zone you set up in the Aqara app will appear as an occupancy sensor in Apple Home.

  3. Automation: By configuring these zones, you can automate various tasks. For example, you could set specific lighting or climate controls to activate when movement is detected in a specific zone.

  4. Zone Syncing: Make sure to enable zone name syncing in the app settings to ensure the names are reflected in Apple Home as well.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with specific settings, feel free to ask, and let’s get the most out of your setup together!

@christophe_amalric For managing zones in Apple Home, if you’re using the Aqara Presence Sensor FP2, here’s a helpful point: When FP2 is added to Apple Home, the detection zones set in the Aqara Home App sync automatically, creating occupancy sensors in Apple Home. Additionally, by enabling zone name sync in the app settings, the zone names you set in the Aqara app will also sync to Apple Home. This can help you organize and manage zones across different levels more effectively.

If you’re using other sensors, feel free to share more details about them—maybe the community can offer additional tips! For further setup specifics, you can also check the Aqara Home App’s device settings for zone configuration guidance.
