ZWave device supported by Aqara hubs?

I was thinking about buying an M3 hub. Only thing stopping me is no support for Zwave devices. I have thousands of dollars in ‘smart’ shades. Unfortunately they are Zwave. Is there a way to control them with an Aqara hub?

There is not a qay to do this directly.

What Z-wave hub do you have? If it supported Matter you could bridge it into Aqara that way.

What is your top level automation platform and how is it supporting ZWave now? Zigbee and Thread are both 2.4GHZ so hubs can do either one, but as far as I know there isn’t a hub that can operate in the Zigbee/Thread 2.4GHz band and the ZWave MHz band. So I suspect you will need two different hubs. Even if there were a single hub that could do both, there is still the issue of bridging the Matter communications layer over to the ZWave protocol.

I am far from being an expert on this, but for me the straightforward solution of having an automation platform that provided support of matter/thread with one hub and ZWave on another hub was the cleanest solution.

Homey Pro does, but that’s an expensive solution just to get Z wave devices into Aqara.

Thanks for pointing that out. I suppose the $400 isn’t too bad if starting home automation from scratch and it can simultaneously serve as zigbee, Thread, and Zwave hubs.
