We’ve discovered that many of our users are integrating the Smart Lock U200 with the Home Assistant ecosystem. We’d love to hear about your experience! Please share the pros and cons you’ve encountered while using it. Your feedback helps us improve and better serve our improvement toward the product!
I’ve been using the U200 for a few months now without integrating it in any ecosystem. I’ve been loving the U200. Now, I have added it into my Home Assistant setup, but my main problem is that you can only lock or unlock it. You can’t just unlock the door without retracting the latch. Which is crucial for euro lock doors. I’ve already recommended the lock to 2 other friends, but I hope this feature gets added rather sooner than later.
Hi, We’ve received the same feedback in our testing group, and our team will definitely work on improving the experience. This month, we’ll first support the “Open door + Unlock + Lock” functions on HA (Matter). We’ll also update the Aqara Bluetooth unlocking experience soon.
That’s awesome!! Really looking forward to that!
Great news, I miss this feature really much. Is it also possible to implement data of who unlocked the door over matter so Home Assistant logs can show who unlocked the door?
I definitely agree. There needs to be a sensor in Home Assistant that shows who opened the door. This sensor is absolutely necessary for automations. A smart lock from a different brand that I used in Home Assistant before offered this sensor that showed us who opened the door through its own official integration. I hope this feature will be added soon ![]()
That looks great, however i can‘t see the open Door button when the door is unlocked in HA. I added the Lock (U200) via Matter over Thread.
I added the Lock first to Apple Home, then to HA
Hi, to enable the pull-spring function in HA , please use the Aqara app and enable the pull spring function. It will appear once activated.
I use the lock in Home Assistant via Matter over Thread. It works really well, and I’ve got the new latch functionality.
I would absolutely LOVE for the logs in Home Assistant to show who unblocked the door. Perhaps a sensor showing time and date of registered users from the Aqara app.
I have started today. Hard time connecting, but now it seems to be working. I would love to see the “Battery Charge Status” sensor working. So far, I have only got “unknown” and it would be good to disable the door opening while charging due to the wires.
Hi,
I’ve shared my experience in this post.
The U200 integrates really well with Home Assistant except for situations where you encounter physical errors like described in my post.
@SiyuBot you would do me a big favor if you please raise two feature requests with the dev team that would make my life easier:
- Add time of day limits (i.e: from 10 PM to 6 AM) to the U200’s native auto-lock feature.
- Add an error state to the Matter states reported by the lock so automations can check it and send a notification and/or prevent further unfruitful attempts to lock the U200 and draining its battery.
Apart from that I am really happy with my U200 and how it works with Home Assistant.
Cheers,
Andi
I am unable to get this to work. The Pull Spring feature is enabled, bit no „Open Door“ button appears.
@KinseyCreateGoods Do you have feedback for me?
Hi mate,
If you got the pull spring feature enabled then the door will open if it is unlocked and you trigger an unlock (by Bluetooth, HomeKit, Matter, Keypad with fingerprint, code or NFC).
There’s no extra button.
But according to the posted Video posted by @KinseyCreateGoods there should be an extra button labeled “Open Door” when “Pull Spring” is enabled.
I just double checked. There actually is a button in the Aqara app. But it’s labeled “Retract Latch”. But it does what you are looking for.
Yes, I do see this button in the Aqara App, but its not visible in the Home Assistant app.
I just checked again in Home Assistant. And on my installation there is a button to open the door.
Just can’t recall if it was there all the time or it just appeared recently.
BTW your screenshot was taken when the U200 was locked.
Just verified if the button is still there when I lock the U200.
I am lost here, is there any feedback/help from Aquara?
