As far as I know, this sensor does not have zones.
Would this be the best thread to ask questions regarding the FP300?
I’d like to know…
-
Will this need an Aqara hub?
-
Will this work with a Homey Pro, and will all aspects of the device be exposed?
-
Will the environmental sensors offer continuous monitoring with uploading of data, or will it operate like the Eve sensors that only upload information when you open the app, otherwise you lose it.
-
If there is continuous reporting, will this be able to be used in automations, as Eve seems to be particularly flakey in this aspect.
Thank you!!
They already have a powered mmWave sensor. There’s not many battery powered ones so it’s a new product launching.
Is it true that the * FP300 is battery‑powered , operating on two CR2450 coin-cell batteries?
It will be awesome to not have to route a cable
Is this battery powered?
I have near instant detection after fiddling with the settings on the fp2. Although my wife is super picky about this and still notices the very small lag.
Zone to zone is spot on but entry to detection area has a very very small delay.
I agree though. Wife approval factor will go up if the fp300 fixes this.
Can’t wait to try these out
I’m so glad I’m not married yet so I don’t have to worry about Wife approval with my smart home devices
Yeah my wife is super picky. Hates LEDs on light switches and does not like that she just can’t flip the switch on the inovelli I am testing…does not like pressing the exact spot needed. Going to have to set up some nice automations and notifications for the LED to convince her I need these everywhere haha.
Will this be powered by battery and by usb c? Battery is nice for certain people but I’d rather have it wired for stability reasons.
has aqara mentioned yet what functionality/settings coverage would exposed when pairing it as a regular matter device on a non aquaria matter hub?
A smart home without WAF could be a show stopper …
Now with the trial program started, hopefully already in September?
Well, they won’t even pick the trial participants until near the end of August, and then they have to “wait” for the orders (ha!) before they ship.
So if they plan an actual trial instead of an (already quite successful) marketing scheme release would be after September, maybe even November/December?
Aqara has other presence sensors, but none of those support Thread. That’s why this one is better, but I’d prefer it be usb-c powered or both… I guess that if it has usb-c for flashing or something, it may be possible to power it without battery being included.
I Hope
I love it!
Hi there, the FP300 does not have zone detection like the FP2. there are good reasons for this. It takes a lot of power for the zone detection capability and the FP300 is designed to be a minimalistic sized, battery powered 5 sensor device rolled into one package.
