Aqara G4 Doorbell, Aqara Home App AOS v.6.1.5 can no longer change from event recording to 24 hour recording.

The option has disappeared!

There is nowhere in the Aqara App for iOS v6.1.5 either!

I have installed Aqara Home App AOS v.6.1.4 and settings have been restored!

Two sections are missing in v.6.1.5, Local Storage and NAS (Network Attached Storage).

I can’t understand why these options have been removed.

Please advise.

Update 13/4 11.20 GMT Local Storage settings have been restored, NAS settings are still missing.

Found your forum post because I am experiencing the same thing. I was wondering why my NAS wasn’t updating, and then found out that the NAS option is just gone.

G4 Doorbell Settings GONE!

What happened to the settings to continuously record and to setup my SD card and NAS connection? There must have been a recent update to the app. I can no longer find any of those settings? Everything seems to want to push me to the Aqara cloud service that I would have to pay for. This product is SO frustrating to use. The settings are overly confusing and Aqara is constantly moving things around in the app. Some of the most essential settings have now disappeared!

Thank you for your feedback. This was an oversight on our part. We have been optimizing the settings page recently, and support for “24 hour recording” under the External power supply mode was missed. The issue is currently being fixed urgently. We appreciate your understanding and welcome any further feedback.

@andrewcsbartlett Everything is working for me now too. One tip that seems to still be the case, at least on my phone… Some of the settings do not indicate their updated state until you back out of the menu you’re in and then go back in. I noticed this to be the case with the continuous vs event recording, as well as live vs a given internval for NAS uploading.

To sum up… make your edit to a setting, it looks like it didn’t save, but if you leave the current menu and then return to it, it should show the updated value…hopefully.
