Hi,
I have a G5 Pro PoE connected to a Hikvision DS-7616NXI-K2 NVR via ONVIF. 24/7 recordings from my cameras (4 of them) are available only through the Hikvision app or web interface. As far as I know, there is no way to access the NVR’s 24/7 recordings directly in the Aqara app.
Also, please note that the ONVIF implementation used by Aqara does not support event metadata that an NVR could use (for example, to place event markers on the timeline when reviewing recordings). All event processing must be done directly on the NVR, and those devices are usually limited to handling two cameras for such processing. The assumption is that modern cameras can perform more of this “heavy lifting” themselves and then pass the relevant data to the NVR. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here.
So my workflow looks like this: I check in the Aqara app if something was detected and when, then switch to the Hikvision app, rewind the recording to that moment, and view a much longer clip than Aqara allows. It’s not exactly a user-friendly experience, but at least I have full 24/7 recordings.
Hope this helps.
