Aqara M3 Hub Matter Devices Not Binding

I have a new M3 hub and P2 door window sensor that uses matter.

I have all on 2.4GHz, IPV6 Enabled, AP Isolation Off, No custom DNS or VPN. All on same IP range.

All devices have been reset and are on latest firmware.

Phone is Samsung S25 Ultra on latest software.

Every time i go to add the device it finds it. Allows me to scan the barcode. I select set up as a new device. Select the M3 Hub. Then it will fail to bind.

Any ideas?

Try creating a completely new Thread Network. Before doing that, clear the Aqara app cache, fully force-close the app, and restart your phone. Then create a new Thread Network and add the device again. Sometimes older Thread data isn’t fully wiped during reset, and the pairing fails even though the device is detected.

Thread credentials come from the operating system’s own storage (e.g., iOS Keychain/Home Data Store or Android Thread Credential Store), as the hubs currently run on Thread Version 1.3.

What exact error do you get? And which firmware version is your m3 on?
