Aqara X SmartThings Giveaway!

I have Samsung Projectors and use with Aqara . I’d loved @SmartThings.

I wish i could experiment this new device to expand my devices network.

Looks neat! Still getting used to my hub, but learning a new system is always fun!

I passed on the original hub years ago b/c you could see it’s EOL which turned out to be true.

The new Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2 is different and worth revisiting. Since I have a robust Aqara system I think I would have to use the Aqara M3 as a Matter Bridge and expose all my devices to the Aeotec Hub. (not sure yet)

It would give me additional automations and sync Aqara features into the SmartThings world so I could learn much more about it.

I’ve been happy with Aqara, Home Assistant and Apple Home but maybe it’s time to venture out a little bit and see if I can get myself into some new smart home trouble

It does look nice.

I’ve been a smartthings and Aqara user for years. My favorite integration was the compatibility of the FP2 with the Samsung Platform and i’m really excited to use the new Hub 2 with the FP300…surely the best presence sensor in the market.

I expose my Aqara scenes to SmartThings using Matter, so they show up as switches I can trigger from there. I’ve set them to run based on the weather (SmartThings’ data is really accurate), and it works great.

On top of that, I use Samsung’s Circadian Light with my Aqara lights so they adapt naturally during the day. Super smooth and reliable!

“I’ll let my fellow enthusiasts enjoy the prize — I’m sticking with Aqara products only.” Robert

I have an existing SmartThings V2 hub which still works great. Can I add the new Aotec Smart Home Hub 2 to my existing system without removing my existing hub? will this help add Thread and Matter support for new devices without needing to re-pair my old z wave devices? SmartThings

This is a great way to integrate Aqara products in to SmartThings.
Please pick me

In my kitchen, which is seamlessly integrated with the laundry area, the real star is the Aqara FP2! The moment I step into the kitchen, the lights automatically turn on thanks to the routine I created in SmartThings. And it doesn’t stop there: when I move to the laundry area, those lights instantly switch on while the kitchen lights magically turn off! Everything works intelligently, run locally, perfectly tracking our presence.

Guests are always amazed and can’t stop talking about how incredible this Aqara X SmartThings automation is! :rocket::heart_eyes:

I have a number of Aqara products, mostly sensors. I use homekit too and have been wanting to check out Smarthings so this sounds like it could work!

I have been using a Samsung phone since the Galaxy S1. I am planning to buy a Samsung TV. I heard that Samsung TVs can serve as hubs? Hub bugs wanted to win so I could find out what the connection options are with both Aqara and Home assistant. And take advantage of better connectivity with your phone.

I love Samsung and SmartThings, been using it for quite a few things and would love to win this giveaway! Connecting more with this hub will help a ton with automations!

With Some Aqara Devices, special with the IP cameras the support of the devices also on the smart platform Smartthings is a great more value for me once I can use Aqara Or even some devices thta only are present on the smartthings with automations

Please keep this good integrations also with other smart plaforms and your devices are very welcome in all comunities

Please read my Aqara/SmartThings automation post:

I’ve used multiple platforms over the years, and really like smartthings’ balance of power, complexity, integrations and simplicity, to the extent that I got my mother in law and multiple neighbors to use it. I’m currently using the old wifi mesh hub and was hoping to upgrade to this model. Hopefully the USB port can eventually be used with a zwave stick so my zwave devices can be part of the migration.

I would love to try the new one. I have lots of SmartThings integrated into my aqara.

In my setup I have several motion sensors from Aqara, integrated on my Smartthings setup.
And my hub is the (old) V2, so Yes, I would like to renew my hub to this new one.

I’ve been steadily building out a home automation project that my partner affectionately calls “Mission Control.” For us, it’s not just about turning lights on or off - it’s about weaving together devices into a system that feels smart, not just “connected.”

That’s where Aqara and SmartThings shine together. SmartThings lets me bridge Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Matter, and cloud devices into one hub, and Aqara sensors and switches slot right in as reliable building blocks. Suddenly, the motion sensor in the hallway wasn’t just a sensor - it became the cue for our whole evening routine. When we walk in, the Aqara motion sensor talks to SmartThings, which then triggers lights in the hall and kitchen, adjusts the thermostat, and even checks if the doors are secure.

My favorite use case: the Aqara door and window sensor paired with SmartThings keeps tabs on Mr Kitty Vader’s cat flap. If it’s left open too long, SmartThings pings my phone, so I can make sure he’s back inside before bedtime.

Aqara’s reliability combined with SmartThings’ flexibility across multiple protocols means our house feels safer, smarter, and - most importantly - calmer. It’s taken the stress out of managing tech and let us enjoy the comfort of living in it.

I have Aqara H2 system for lights and smart things for the TV, fridge and microwave. Would love a hub that can control both properly and allow for better automations
